A victory lap for their 2024 album, a deluxe edition GEMS IN THE CORNERSTORE II finds JEMS! Aka Elujay and J.Robb, in a sustained creative energy. A “thank you” for all the fan love received for the album, the digital deluxe adds three songs/remixes to the original album, which continues the group’s streak for light-as-air but meaningful jams. Fans of the original album will be happy to have a new Summer cruiser like “SLIDIN” to play, which includes elements of their trademark sound but pitches Elujay’s vocal up a hair to achieve maximum top-down energy. JEMS! has enlisted a remix from TOMBOGO, aka friend and collaborator Tommy Bogo, showing off the duo's love of fashion and branding. The LA designer has been gaining steam in fashion and music circles and lends a more urgent vibe to “SWEEPSTAKES.” Rumor has it that some collaboration hats are in store between the group and the designer.  Showing their depth of taste, fan favorite “CREEPIN” gets the rework treatment from London’s SBTRKT, who is no newcomer to the remix game, touching tracks from Radiohead, Modeselektor, Basement Jaxx, and Mark Ronson. The remix takes the original into the evening, another stop in a day full of JEMS! magic.
